Jennica Garcia has had an eventful 2021, the mom of two confirmed she and her husband Alwyn Uytingco were contemplating breaking up.
The pair got married in 2014 and have two daughters, Athena Mori and Alessi. They have chronicled their family life through social media, and when Jennica removed photos of Alwyn from her Instagram, rumors of their separation started to circulate online.
However, in October 2021, Jennica and Alwyn shared that they have reconnected and have been mending their marriage privately. Jennica also returned to the small screen for her first-ever main antagonist role as Brenda Macario in 'Las Hermanas.'
In an Instagram post, Jennica confessed she was self-conscious about returning to the limelight after taking time off since 2019 to focus on motherhood and managing personal businesses.
"Nahihiya akong humarap sa mga katrabaho ko. Ang kikinis ng mga kasama ko, nahihiya ako sa kanila," Jennica wrote.
Her glow-up journey is just starting and Jennica vowed to continue working on herself, physically and mentally.
Jennica also did the necessary work to heal her body image issues.
She added, "I learned that so much beauty comes out when women empower women instead of dragging them down out of envy and their own insecurities."
